about
Our meat
Brjánslækjarbúið produces its products from mutton, mutton from its own farm, which is a family-run sheep farm in the southern Westfjords.
The varied mountain vegetation that the animals eat increases the taste quality of the meat.
Meat processing had been a dream for some time. We had looked, predicted and speculated, but then this became a reality in the autumn of 2017.
Product development is in its infancy but something is always being tried and will continue to be so.
All about
The old parsonage
My family and I have reached the stage of opening a café in the old town of Brjánslækur, and we offer coffee and all kinds of croissants.
We have also opened a new exhibition about Hrafn Flóki with all kinds of information about him and his travels to Iceland, and of course the Surtarbrand exhibition is in place in the basement.
Opening hours are from June 10 to August 10.
We hope to see as many as possible
